The mini-win

So what is in a mini-win? Put simply its a celebration for something you wouldn't normally celebrate. A pat on the back for something that would go un-noticed to anyone but yourself. It can be incredibly trivial, in fact it can be argued the more trivial it is the more of a true mini-win it is, especially if its something we should just be able to do.

But why is it important? Simply its there to give us a way of picking ourselves up and offering congratulation for a job well done. I suppose its a self-drive thing, its important that through any process you need to remember yourself. Its something I'm very guilty of not doing - taking care of yourself is very important; if you forget about you then you can get into a great deal of trouble. Therefore don't; find a way of congratulating yourself occasionally, embrace the mini-win.

  2. That's the one! We used it at work to keep motivated - when we did something expected of us we'd have a mini-win (rather than a "phew its done..."); much celebrated :-)! Then there's the maxi-win...
